About Louise Keller

Louise Keller has written thousands of movie reviews – as co-founder and publisher of Australia’s award-winning online movie magazine Urban Cinefile with Andrew Urban, which launched at the beginning of the digital revolution and won Financial Review/Telstra Australian Internet Awards as Best Arts and Entertainment site. She was ghostwriter for fashion designer Maria Finlay’s memoir Fate, Family, Fashion and Friends.

While working with Champagne Pommery as public relations and promotions consultant, Louise conceived the Louise Pommery Ballet Grant, a prestigious initiative in association with the Australian Ballet for which she organised many high-profile functions including a gala event for visiting Pommery’s winemaker, Prince Alain de Polignac.

Louise began her career as a professional singer when, aged 16, she dared to audition for a TV talent quest, leading to a successful 16-year singing, modelling and television career. She was awarded the Vietnam Logistic Support Medal for entertaining Australian and American troops in Vietnam and received Special Commendation Logie from the Television Society of Australia for her work on Barry Crocker’s Sound of Music. She sang in many venues around the world – on ships, in clubs and concert venues such as the Sydney Opera House and the Entertainment Centre.

Louise was born in India of Austrian and Australian parents and educated in the French speaking Belgian Congo (now known as the Democratic Republic of the Congo). Louise has two children and lives in Sydney with her partner, psychologist Norman Buckley. They enjoy music, opera and theatre, travelling and keeping fit with strength training and Pilates.
