Encore' first birthday party began at 6.30pm on Easter Monday in 1977and finished at 3am the next morning. The venue was The Chandelier Restaurant on the Princes Highway in Rockdale, who did a fine job wining and dining the 70 guests ... the surprise guests were three of Sammy Davis jnr' American musicians who talked, drank and played great music.
