Worship The Sun

Watched the sun rise on Balmoral

It was an inspiring sight

A ball of fiery yellow

To herald the daylight.

God of the sun is Helios

Mythology Greek reveals

Rode his chariot across the sky

Constantly beating his heels.

Worship the sun; worship the sun

I look upwards and see the light

Worship the sun; worship the sun

Powerful star of great might.

During the day what happens then

When through the clouds it skips

Adventuring across the blue

Tumbling as it flips.

Some days it simply disappears

And hides behind the grey

What does it do, where does it go

When it is far away?

Worship the sun; worship the sun

I look upwards and see the light

Worship the sun; worship the sun

Powerful star that is so bright,

I saw the sunset end of day

It smouldered with great pride

Glowing orange embers

Horizon to collide.

Then it’s time to rest once more

And to the sun I pray

Contemplate the soul unique

Before another day.
