Arriving in Sydney at the age of 18, I was eager to learn about the world of showbusiness. This was 1969 and King Cross was the centre of the universe. The Darling Point flat that I was going to share with an up and coming singer, Dianne Horder was not quite ready and I spent my first two weeks staying with Maria Venuti, well known cabaret singer, who introduced me to Sydney nightlife. It was quite an introduction!
